Our Story & Mission
How it Started
AMP Sports Performance was formed in 2020 during the Covid19 Pandemic as a Speed and Conditioning Camp to give local athlete’s an opportunity to train at a time when sports were otherwise shutdown or cancelled. Originally started by a group of elite coaches (James Aldridge, Eric McCready, Chris Pesheck), AMP became a first of its kind, foundational training resource for area youth and expanded into successful business, complete with personal and group training, biomechanical and physical therapy instruction, as well as sport specific mental and physical education.
With the success of AMP Sports Performance, we quickly learned that not only did our young athletes need this type of foundational mental and physical training, but there were a group of athletes on the outside looking in because of a lack of resources (money, equipment, support, etc). At that point we decided to donate camp proceeds and our time and energy moving forward to ensure any athlete in the area had an opportunity to learn and compete in sports. Since that time our coaching pool has expanded and they have spent countless hours of their own time providing free training to young athletes in our community, as well as significant financial support to pay for equipment and sports fee’s.
In October of 2021, AMP Sports Performance officially obtained its non-profit, 501(c)(3) status! It is now our chance to break the mold as a community and to encourage and advance young athletes, regardless of previous resources, to ultimately make a difference in the sport of their choice and beyond.
